I have a solo show coming up in Ellsworth, ME. The opening reception is on Wed July 18 from 5-7om, and the show will hang for about one month. These are all new paintings from the last year. Many of the scenes are local to downeast Maine with an eye towards playing with the expressive qualities of color.
These will mostly be paintings of the Maine landscape, with a little bit of still life added in. I've been working on the larger pieces since last fall, and I'm really excited to finally show these long term projects. I hope you get a chance to visit the show.
I'll also be heading back to Courthouse Gallery on August 1st to give a talk about the work. I always enjoy sharing some of the stories and ideas behind the paintings.
